A 5 days-long drawing course in Quillow, Germany, taught by illustrator Anke Feuchtenberger. The group included six students from Shenkar and seven of Anke’s students from Hamburg. The course focused on slow observation and drawing directly from the landscape surrounding Quillow.All of the work was done outdoors, responding to the environment through quick sketches and longer studies. I worked with ink, pencil, and charcoal, following Anke’s guidance to approach each session with a different direction or focus. The sketches form a record of the place, the process, and the time spent drawing outside.
